These spanner tools are used for assembly of Staubly (Formerly Multi-Contact USA) MC4 connectors. They can be used for disconnecting a mated pair of locked connectors, tightening cable glands, and securing the connector. Two open ended spanner tools are recommended for assembly purposes, see pictures for an example. Tool color may vary, typically sold in red.
