Product Overview
Seal conduit couplings, conduit-to-cable breakouts and terminal lug barrels with this 3M™ 8420 connector Insulator. It works well for dielectric-insulated wires and splicing in 1000 V rated applications. Installation is easy, and you won't need extra tools to get the job done. Use this convenient cold shrink insulator for physical protection of air-insulated, high voltage lugs and connectors; its also good for when you need to insulate submersible or direct buried dig-in repairs and secondary splices. The black EPDM rubber construction is free of sulfur and chlorides, and it provides a waterproof seal while remaining sturdy and strong in any weather.
